Q. How do I get my band on the Zone? A. To get your band added to the Zone, you will need to fill out the band page creation form, which includes the following fields: Q. What if my band's city isn't on the list of choices? A. Select 'Other' from the list, then list your band's city in the comments section. Remember, The Zone is only for LOCAL bands.

Q. What should I include in my bio? A. You bio should include at least the following:
We want your bio to be personalized, but it must include AT LEAST the previous info. Please note that a bio DOES NOT include what kind of toothpaste you use, what your favorite TV show is, what kind of computer you use, your pets names, or if you eat paint. In other words, do not include miscellaneous information that does not pertain to your band. In order for people to take the Zone seriously, it has to look professional. We are here to help you, but you must at help us out, too. Q. Our band already has a web site, can we just send you the address and have you create the band page for us? A. You can, but it will be much (read MUCH) faster for you to do it yourself. Q. How do I know I filled out the form correctly? A. If you filled out all of the required fields and picked a category for your band to be placed in, then you did it right. The MIVA script will return a page which will tell you if your form was processed successfully or not. If you forgot to fill in all of the required fields or another error occurred, the MIVA script will give you a list of the errors. In this case, return to the form and fill in the required info. If all else fails, contact the webmaster with a description of your problem. Q. Our band doesn't have a web site, can we still use the MIVA form to submit? A. Yes, just paste in your bio and other information, and leave the website field blank. Q. What are the genre categories that I can choose from when I get to the form? A. The categories are:
Americana/Folk Q. That list sucks! My band doesn't fit into any of those categories! What now? A. Well, if you don't like the list, then you can't be added. Yes, we know how much bands hate to be categorized, but it has to be done. You have the opportunity to describe your style/sound in your bio. If you still think we suck and a new genre should be added, add a note in the comments section.
Q. I submitted my information, how come my band isn't on the Zone yet? A. For two reasons, either you did not read this FAQ carefully enough and did not follow our directions, or we have just been very busy. If you know you did everything you were supposed to, and it has been over a month since you submitted your info, please send us a friendly e-mail and remind us you're waiting to be added. A lot of times, we just get behind, and we do apologize if that happens. But please make it easy on us and follow the directions in this FAQ before submitting your band! Q.
