TheZone Jewish Summer Camp: Information for Parents

Concerned, caring parents want to give their children a summer that’s not just fun, but productive, enriching and of course, safe and healthy. And even after camp ends, we give our campers exciting year-round activities for both boys and girls divisions--activities that will keep their warm summer memories alive throughout the school year.

Camper Health and Safety

Safety is paramount in TheZone. Your children’s personal health and wellbeing are topmost on our agenda. Our superb staff is made up of carefully screened and selected young adults. All our staff members are trained and certified as necessary for their specialty. All safety precautions are strictly adhered to by campers and staff members alike. Life jackets, helmets, harnesses, and any other necessary safety gear are mandatory for activities that require them.

Camp Grounds and Facilities

TheZone is comprised of two campuses tucked in the hills of picturesque Catskills ski country. We are surrounded by unspoiled countryside, rolling green mountains and fresh, clean air. Our spacious dining rooms are light-filled and newly renovated. Campers are housed in comfortable, climate controlled rooms. We have expansive sports complexes on both the boys and girls campuses, large outdoor and indoor pools.

We celebrate and embrace our rich Jewish heritage. Whether it’s baking delicious rugelach and fluffy challah, giving each child a taste of Israel over the summer, learning to read Hebrew, or getting to know about the different holidays throughout the year, each camper enjoys developing a deeper appreciation for his/her roots. This, in turn, serves as a firm foundation upon which they can build their identities and future with confidence.

girls baking at thezone The Zone can deliver all this at a very low cost to you – just about one quarter of the fee most comparable camps require – thanks to our program being subsidized by Oorah. Qualifying parents can apply for additional camp scholarships upon request.
