Yo La Tengo Review by Keanon Liggatt
an amazing show. my ears were ringing, my heart was aching, and i was
ready for more.
there was more people at the bottleneck thursday night than i've ever seen
there before.
one of the reasons i've become so involved personally in music is the
feeling that i get when music arouses certain emotions in me; yo la tengo
reminds me of love.
amazing musicians.
only band i know that can pull off melody and harmonized male/female vocals
that beautiful, interject a giant distorted searing noisy guitar solo, then
finish out and leave you feeling peaceful.
their organ, of what type i'm unaware, adds a lot to their sound...
i think the high point for me was"autumn sweater", an organ, drum, bass
composition that had some really cool samples playing through the PA that
aren't present on the newest CD.
too bad there wasn't room for a local band to open up for them.
i would've been honored to share the stage with this band.
see them...don't hesitate.
